  did you try Jericho (romaine)?
  
  I don't know exactly what temp it went down to, but it seemed quite hardy, and definately made it through some good hard frosts here in VT last year. Might not have been 25 degrees, but if you haven't tried it, it would be worth a try.
  
  Jericho also stays sweet in the heat, which is always nice.

  Thanks. i love Jericho actually. I though I'd tried it in the winter and lost it before, but maybe I'm remembering wrong. It sure is a good lettuce though.
