Anyone have any recommendations for me on what I can plant in a winter garden here in San Antonio? I have planted lots of summer gardens but have never done a winter garden and have no clue as to what to plant.

Thanks for any advise in advance!

Kale, bok choi, gai lan, lettuces, spinach, arugula, cilantro, parsley, peas, beets, carrots, artichokes. This should get your started? There are also late season type tomatoes if your area stays warm until late fall.

I think it would be fine. I used to live in Mobile, AL and would plant things year round. So planting for a winter garden would have already begun, however as space became available due to harvests from the summer garden, I'd plant something new in the space. San Antonio might get a little colder than Mobile, but just cover your plants with a sheet or grow cloth if it gets below freezing at night, and you can grow vegetables all year long.
