I was given a big bag of AC Morley wheat seeds but the only info I can find relates to commercial farming and doesn't give me much to go on. I live in zone 7. Have y'all ever grown a hard winter wheat?

Re: AC Morley Wheat
Tue, July 21, 2009 - 4:26 PMMy dad sowed small areas of this on our farm as a cover crop/green manure
Prefers fertile loam soil with minimal amounts of lime
Sow 4 ounces of seed for every 10x10 area (100 square ft) cover the seed with 3/4 inches of soil. It adds more organic matter and nitrogen if you seed it together with some form of legume. (I prefer alfalfa but white clover is also a good choice)
The mixed seed would still be at a ratio of 4 ounces of seed for each 10x10 area.
