wow! That is a large plant to have powdery mildew, is that common for a maple to get PM? Is it a threat to the surrounding trees because PM spreads fast? How do you apply a Baking soda mix or Neem oil to a huge maple? Hearing of a huge Maple covered in Powdery Mildew makes me cringe, I hate the stuff. Good luck

i've only applied neem to large crops of smaller plants, never to trees.... i'd imagine you'll have to get a large resevoir type container (i.e. trash can) and fill it with water and neem oil.. then purchase a fairly strong sub pump and spray the trees with a hose.... in between treatments you can spray the trees with ph 7.0 water.... that makes the leaves less acidic which slows PM..

    Hi,
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) works well. You can buy 30% solution from chemical supply houses to dilute and spray on. After it oxidises and loses its extra oxygen molecule, it is just water (H2O). I buy expired bottles for $50 for four gallons. I believe it is used in the manufacturing of circuit boards and other clean room stuff. I use it to clean my compost tea making equipment and to spray on fungal and bacterial pests. Dilute at 12/1. Maybe use a syphoning attachment on your hose. The kind for spraying fertilizer.
    Good Luck.
